The 2004 XYZZY Awards Ceremony was held at ifMUD on March 20th, in the Massive Auditorium. As in years past, the awards were presented by last year's winners.

This year, Blue Chairs, by Chris Klimas, took the top honors, including "Best Game." Jason Devlin's Sting of the Wasp and Andrew Plotkin's The Dreamhold both went home with two XYZZY awards.

Best Use of Medium: The Dreamhold (Andrew Plotkin)
Best Individual PC: The PC from Sting of the Wasp (Jason Devlin)
Best Individual NPC: Audrey, from Necrotic Drift (Robb Sherwin)
Best Individual Puzzle: The time puzzle, from All Things Devours ("half sick of shadows")
Best NPCs: Sting of the Wasp (Jason Devlin)
Best Puzzles: The Dreamhold (Andrew Plotkin)
Best Setting: The Fire Tower (Jacqueline Lott)
Best Story: Blue Chairs (Chris Klimas)
Best Writing: Blue Chairs (Chris Klimas)
Best Game: Blue Chairs (Chris Klimas)
